Oh, you built that?
It's really big.
It changed a lot of things. Basically everything.
Yeah, I know it's really cool.
Yes, I heard you the first time.
It looks like it needs some repairs though.
What do you mean it's fine?
I'm just being nice here that shit is literally falling apart. The tiles are hanging from the ceiling, a pipe burst, the entire third floor is on fire. The pipe is on the floor below the fire so that running water isn't even helping the fire it's just making things below it worse.
I'm still just being nice, the entire eastern wall just fell down. It's nothing but rubble.
Fuck I know if that's really the eastern wall? That's just what they say in movies.
The right side of the building.
Your offices?
No, those are fine. They're on the opposite side. Everything's working there. But only a few people work in that area. You realize there are a lot more people in the spot where the wall fell?
No, I'm telling you we can't just patch it up. It can't be rebuilt to look like the original building.
Why?
It's just not sustainable. We need to try something different. We have much better plans here, they would help everybody.
What do you mean we don’t know what we’re doing? You're the ones that taught us. If we don’t know that means you don’t know.
Why don't you take a look?
You don't want to look?
I mean, yeah, of course, things are going to change. But change is gonna happen no matter what. Wouldn't you prefer they change for the better?
We can't keep doing it the way it's always been done. Okay, you're doing fine, but do you remember that other side of the building I told you about? That's like most of the building. Your side is only a small part. It seems to be worth just redoing the whole thing even if it includes changing your side a bit. It won't be as comfortable for you and a few others, but the majority of people would be much better off.
Why?
I don't know how many ways I can tell you this.
At this point I think you understand, you just don't want to accept it.
